Just like the name suggests, the South Beach Wine and Food Festival (SOBEWFF) is hosted by the Food Network and is a combination of more than 50 events throughout 4 days instead of just one. Although there are many events to choose from, there are a few that have gained popularity and notoriety for being the “must-attend” events. Those events include anything happening at North Tent, Grand Tasting Village, and Best of the Best. North Tent and Grand Tasting Village happen on the sands of the beach, allowing people to experience the festival in a unique setting unlike anything that can be found in the rest of the country. These two locations have events beginning on Thursday the week of the festival and include The Q and Burger Bash. These two events gather the best BBQ and burgers in the nation and showcase them to the attendees in a competition to see who in the country has the best to offer. It is an event that has grown throughout the years to become some of the most anticipated events in Miami as a whole, whether it deals with food or not. Best of the Best is usually held at the Fontainebleau and features various restaurants showcasing their best item. It is similar to an upscale cocktail party with guests dressing in their best and mingling with their friends as they indulge in some of the best food in the country.

Other events throughout the festival include workshops dealing with wine, brunches with celebrity chefs, interactive dinners, golf tournaments, and restaurant anniversary meals. Each event is separately priced and includes access to various samples from each restaurant. Some of these events include drinks and allow you to meet celebrity chefs. Overall, investing in a SOBEWFF event is a great experience if you can afford it.
