First-Ever Drone Light Show at Peacock Park in Celebration of 4th of July
WHO:
Coconut Grove BID, City of Miami and Miami Symphony Orchestra
WHAT:
For the first time ever, the City of Miami and the Coconut Grove Business Improvement District are presenting an environmentally safe drone show in celebration of the 4th of July. Keeping in mind the waterfront, we have found a novel way to celebrate Independence Day with an epic drone show and a live performance by the Miami Symphony Orchestra. This will also elay concerns regarding fire and public safety hazards of our audience and we know the dogs in our neighborhood will be happier too. We hope to bring Coconut Grove a PTSD-symptom free celebration that takes into consideration everyone in our community.
As Miami’s first neighborhood, City of Miami Mayor Francis Suarez and Commissioner Ken Russell are taking great pride in being the first to host a 4th of July drone show. Both dignitaries will be in attendance. The first 500 people will receive a free “Grove” baseball hat, picnic blanket and reusable BPA-free water bottle to enjoy the festivities on the lawn which are part of the plastic-free initiative Coconut Grove BID is spearheading. (July is plastic-free awareness month.) Event is free and open to the public. Please RSVP at grovefourth.eventbrite.com.
