The first fast-casual Hawaii home-style comfort food concept introduces authentic flavors that can be found in the islands. Poke lovers will be rejoicing! Hapa is offering something more commonly found in Hawaii, known as “Poke by the pound.” In Hawaii, groups of friends and family buy a heap of Poke and head straight to the beach, with beverages. Yes, Hapa is introducing this generous portion option, just like it’s done “back home.” The eatery offers six different varieties of Poke, from Ahii Shoyu, Spicy Ahi, Salmon Furikake, and Sweet and Spicy Salmon, served by the pound or in a bowl. Other protein options are served in their plates section that includes two sides and a choice of protein like, The Kalua Pig, traditional Hawaii-style roast pork, Garlic Furikake Chicken, fried chicken dipped in a soy-garlic-furikake flavor bomb, and Kalbi Ribs, Korean-style short ribs. Side options include white rice, brown rice, Spam fried rice, quinoa, tuna mac salad, apple jicama slaw, and more to round out a fresh, light, and flavorful meal. For a full immersion into Hawaiian comfort food, a must-try is the Loco Moco, the island’s very own hangover cure, served on a bed of rice topped with a ground beef patty, smothered in gravy and a sunny side up egg. Guests can also try the Pineapple Mango Gazpacho, perfect for the hot Miami days and the island’s nostalgic Spam Musubi, another childhood favorite of Sullivan, found in kid’s lunch boxes across Hawaii. Altogether, these recipes introduce the full flavors that have nourished the Hawaiian islands, that is now being introduced to South Florida for the first time. Morelia Gourmet Paletas, also known as Paletas Morelia, is a gourmet Mexican popsicle shop known for its fresh ingredients and extensive menu. It welcomes South Florida locals and tourists to enjoy authentic Mexican paletas at its South Florida locations from Miami-Dade County to Palm Beach County. Guests can choose from up to 16 popsicle flavors including pistachio, mango, Belgian chocolate, banana filled with Nutella, and many more. To differentiate itself from other ice cream shops, the unique Morelia experience consists of the following process: 1) Pick it, 2) Dip it, 3) Top it. Among the store’s signature, craveable toppings are smores, marshmallow fluff torched, and Nutella drizzle. The shop offers over a million different combinations by adding dippings and toppings to enhance the ice cream experience and take the flavor to the next level!

The founders chose the name “Morelia” because it’s the capital city of the State of Michoacán in Mexico, where it is believed the first paletas originated when people added fresh fruit to ice to refresh people from the hot weather. These paletas are hand-made, artisanal, and made with 100% natural ingredients; packed with a much larger punch that will make your taste buds dance. Morelia’s paletas are gourmet due to its top-quality ingredients; combined with both Italian Gelato and French Sorbet to give it that natural yet tasty flavor. The logo resembles a Mexican Catrina, which is a symbol of the “Day of the Dead” in Mexico, but it is a tradition full of life. The Catrina means equality, union, and culture. Equality as we are all made of bones and Union as we are equal, regardless of gender, sex or culture. The whole concept of Morelia Gourmet Paletas, from its name, logo, flavors, and idea behind it, the popsicle shop brings the true flavors and meaning of Mexico to South Florida.
