Coastal Dining Concept, DUNE, in Fort Lauderdale Now Offers Enticing New Seasonal Specials
Observing all mandated COVID safety and sanitization protocols, including limiting parties to six people, Fort Lauderdale’s oceanfront dining destination, DUNE, has launched a specially priced menu perfect for lighter summer dining. With socially distanced al fresco seating on the restaurant’s windswept terrace and in the spacious dining room, guests are encouraged to celebrate the season with the restaurant’s new prix-fixe menu and Social Hour offerings.
The summer prix-fixe, priced at $45 per person (plus tax and gratuity) is three-courses launches on Wednesday, June 22 and will be available until September 22, 2020. Starters include a choice of Grilled Kale Caesar – pine nuts, croutons, grapefruit, ricotta salata, Caesar vinaigrette; Butter Lettuces – Point Reyes blue cheese, shaved Anjou pear, pear vinaigrette and Charcoal Grilled Key West Shrimp with scampi butter and grilled bread. Entrees include a choice of Charcoal Grilled Half Chicken – charred fennel, Tuscan kale, salsa verde; Grilled Ahi Tuna – smashed avocado, wakame, grilled lemon; Seared Diver Scallops – sweet corn nectar, crispy pancetta, heirloom tomatoes and a vegan/vegetarian option and Summer Farro Risotto – asparagus, corn and exotic mushrooms. Desserts will be Chef’s choice.
At DUNE, libations are expertly crafted for sultry South Florida nights. While soaking up the restaurant’s unparalleled ambiance, guests can imbibe with new summer cocktails on offer. Highlights include the Coco Picante – Corazon tequila, lime, coconut cream, jalapeno ($14); Pomegranate Fizz – Blue Coat gin, pomegranate, mint, Tonic ($14) and Mango Mist – Ketel Citroen, passion and mango shrub, lime ($14).
DUNE has also launched a new Social Hour where guests can indulge in hand-shaken cocktails and delicious fare Wednesday through Friday, from 4PM to 6PM. Guests can unwind at Social Hour with half-priced Rotating Signature Cocktails, half-priced House Wines (red, white and bubbles) and Mixed Drinks priced at $10. Accompanying these specially priced libations are a slate of delicious items for sharing including Charcoal Roasted Haloumi Chistorra with shishitos ($9); Ahi Tuna Nachos with spicy mayo, cucumber, avocado and seaweed salad ($12); PEI Musselswith Thai green curry and scallions ($12); Mexican Street Corn with lime aioli, tajin and cotija cheese ($7); Blackened Mahi Tacos – cabbage, pico de gallo, lime aioli ($10) and the Dune Burger($10).
