Chef and restaurateur Bobby Flay brings his passion for burgers, fries, and shakes to Miami with the opening of Bobby’s Burger Palace (BBP), his very first restaurant in the “Sunshine state.” Located in Miami’s iconic Dadeland Mall, Bobby’s Burger Palace is anchored on the second floor of the mall’s highly-anticipated redeveloped two-story wing. BBP Miami is also the very first store, among the impressive list of 22 retailers and restaurants, to open in the new wing.
Known as an international destination for style, music, fashion and design, Miami is also a culinary epicenter, celebrating the bold and fiery flavors of the American Gulf, Carribean and Latin America—making it an ideal locale for BBP. BBP Miami offers an assortment of burgers inspired by Bobby’s extensive travels throughout America, including Miami. One of BBP’s signature burgers is the Cuban sandwich-inspired Miami Burger, which is pressed with ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, mustard and mayonnaise.
“At any time of year, my favorite thing to eat is a cheeseburger,” says Bobby. “And at BBP, I celebrate America’s variety of flavors, styles and cultures surrounding this classic staple, offering a selection of specialty burgers, served at a great price. Miami has great restaurants and a very forward-thinking food community, so I’m very excited to be able to share this with the families and residents of the city.”
Each BBP burger is Bobby’s tribute to America’s regional flavors and traditions, made with only premium-quality ingredients and condiments. Cooked to order, patrons can choose from 10 signature burgers such as the Philadelphia Burger with Provolone cheese, griddled onions and hot peppers; the Buffalo Style Burger with red hot sauce, blue cheese dressing and watercress; the Dallas Burger spice crusted with coleslaw, Monterey Jack, BBQ sauce, and pickles; the Santa Fe Burger with queso sauce, pickled jalapeños, and blue corn chips; and the Palace Classic Burger with American cheese, lettuce, tomato and red onion – are all served on a sesame seed bun. Also offered is a BBP Burger of the Month, which in December will be the Brunch Burger with American cheese, smoked bacon, and a fried egg. All burgers may be prepared with Certified Angus Beef or ground turkey, and a grilled chicken breast option is also available.
DINING AT BBP
When dining at the BBP, Bobby reminds you to get your burger crunchified, which means topping any BBP burger with crisp chips at no additional cost. Crunchified selections include the Crunchburger® with double American cheese and potato chips and the Crunch Salad with chopped vegetables, romaine, crispy tortillas, white cheddar cheese cubes and balsamic dressing.
All burgers at BBP can also be served topless, where the burger or grilled chicken is simply stacked onto a bed of greens without the bun. For an additional dose of bold flavor, one can choose from BBP’s selection of house made sauces, including Chipotle Ketchup, BBP Burger Sauce and Jalapeño Hot Sauce. Sides such as hand-cut French Fries served with BBP Fry Sauce (Bobby’s own blend of mayonnaise, roasted red and chipotle peppers, and spices) and Beer Battered Onion Rings, along with Griddled Cheese Sandwiches, are available to create the ultimate BBP meal.
With or without real whipped cream, 10 Milkshakes & Malteds in flavors such as Pistachio, Vanilla Bean, Dark Chocolate, Coconut, Mango, Black and White and Blueberry-Pomegranate hit the spot during or after a meal at the BBP. Fountain and bottled sodas, iced tea and lemonade are also available to quench any thirst.
THE SET- UP
Upon ordering from the menu, diners enter into a relaxed yet convivial atmosphere. The 75-seat BBP is a nod to a classic burger joint, emblazoned with fiery red, bold yellow and vibrant green hues that Bobby is so known for. BBP is outfitted with a central serpentine corian-coated dining counter with vivid green leather seats and a dramatic ribbon-like light fixture with brown, orange and yellow stripes. Here, guests sit at the 47-seat counter, socialize with friends and other patrons while their food and drinks are quickly delivered. BBP Miami also features a spacious 48-seat outdoor patio for al-fresco dining.
A floor-to-ceiling feature wall encasing the BBP’s kitchen is a mosaic of wood, bamboo and bright green, brown and orange glass tiles. Photographs of farm-fresh ingredients also adorn the BBP’s walls.
BBP Miami is the 17th location nationwide of Bobby’s Burger Palace and first restaurant from Bobby in the state of Florida. It is located on the second floor of Dadeland Mall (in its new wing, above the Microsoft Store) at 7535 North Kendall Drive, Miami, FL 33156.
