Pioneering Restaurant Wynwood Kitchen & Bar Celebrates Six Years

New Artist-Designed Staff Uniforms and Menu Specials on Monday, November 21

Wynwood Kitchen & Bar, one of the very first restaurants to open in what has become one of the world’s hippest neighborhoods, is celebrating six years of wowing diners with its Pan-Latin tapas menu from Chef Miguel Aguilar. The restaurant, which debuted in 2010 alongside the world-famous Wynwood Walls, home to curated murals from the world’s most renowned street artists, has become a neighborhood mainstay, hosting thousands of locals and tourists in its art-filled dining room and terrace year round. To mark the milestone, Wynwood Kitchen & Bar will offer six of its most popular menu items and six of its draft beers, all priced at $6 each on Monday, November 21. Additionally, servers will be debut the restaurant’s artful new staff uniforms – featuring designs created with acclaimed street artist Shepard Fairey’s Studio Number One. The iconic t-shirts and hats will reflect past work that Shepard has done for Wynwood Walls and Wynwood Kitchen & Bar, featuring many of his most popular motifs, and will be available for purchase at the restaurant.

“When we opened the restaurant, the neighborhood was very much in its infancy and we were one of the few businesses open to the public. Now, Wynwood boasts tons of award-winning restaurants, breweries, bars, and boutiques in addition to the galleries as well as the businesses that employ Miami’s creative class. We are an international tourist destination but our success is very much rooted in the people who live, work, shop and eat here. We want to thank them for helping Wynwood Kitchen & Bar become stronger than ever six years later, by hosting a special anniversary event,” offered Goldman Properties CEO/WKB owner Jessica Goldman Srebnick.

Chef Aguilar will feature menu favorites for $6 each including the Ropa Vieja Empanadas, WKB Hamburguesita – irresistible sliders made with chorizo and pollo, Tequenos served with queso fresco, and Queso Fundido, along with everyone’s favorite Roasted Cauliflower with Applewood smoked bacon and caramelized onions and Succotash WKB style; choclo, edamame, red peppers, scallions, caramelized shallots, cotija cheese, chipotle aioli and corn nuts.

The perfect $6 libation to accompany the delicious dishes is one of Wynwood Kitchen & Bar’s stellar draft beers including uber- local and imported brews: Blue Moon, Wynwood Brewing’s La Rubia, Estella Damm, Ommegang Abbey Ale, Funky Buddha Hop Gun, and Concrete Beach Stiltsville Pilsner. Chef Aguilar promises lots of fun all day long including cigar rollers, DJ and a spiked shaved ice station.
