On Saturday, February 12, Kush Hialeah & La Cocina Cocteleria will host their third annual, not-to-be-missed pre-Super Bowl party – Please Forgive Us, Ray Finkle. The brainchild of KUSH Hospitality owner/operator, Matt Kuscher – whose concepts are rife with pop culture references – this shindig pays homage to the movie Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (which was shot in Miami). In the film, Miami’s team mascot and players, including Dan Marino, are abducted by a crazy former player, Ray Finkle, who blames Marino for the downfall of his career. At 12PM on February 12, Kush Hialeah will be honoring Finkle, hoping that he reverses the curse he has laid upon the “DolFans” (Miami Dolphins Fans); with the belief that if they show Finkle some respect and reverence, he'll lift the hex put on the Miami Dolphins. The Kush Hospitality team is prepared to do this every year until the Dolphins have their day in the sun. This is a fun, FREE and socially-distant event that will include a recreation of Ray Finkle's bedroom, Dan Marino pinata and card burning ceremony complete with complimentary football-shaped cookies for all guests at 3:05PM. Guests will also be able to enter a same-day $100 Bar Tab Giveaway with craft beer aficionado and local influencer, Mari Orosco - @littlemariii. DolFans are encouraged to arrive in their swaggiest Miami Dolphins gear – the best-dressed fan will win a special prize. Sponsored by Brugal Rum, food and drink specials include featured cocktails: Laces Out - Teal Cocktail With 1972 Flag, Orange Sugar Rim, Dehydrated Orange and Gummy Dolphin Garnish ($13); Please Forgive Us, Ray Finkle - Espresso Cotton Candy Cocktail ($13); The Mule - Brugal Rum Moscow Mule served in a take-home souvenir cup ($5); Brugal Jell-O Shots ($5); and to eat, 10 Wings - Buffalo, Naked, Creamy Garlic, or Bang Bang. ($13). A portion of featured cocktail sales will benefit the Dolphin Research Center: www.dolphins.org. Join in on the fun Saturday, February 12, 2022, from noon to 6PM. Kush Hialeah and La Cocina Cocteleria are located at 1000 East 16th Street in Hialeah. Telephone: (305) 887-8863; kushhospitality.com.
