Florida burger mavens take heed -- New York’s famed burger restaurant 5 Napkin Burger, known for some of the juiciest and most delicious burgers in the Northeast, poses this important question as it heads south, and prepares to open on Miami Beach’s Lincoln Road this June. To celebrate, 5 Napkin Burger is challenging Floridians to concoct the best Miami Burger in the “Build the Miami Burger” Challenge beginning May 5, 2011.

From mango to manchego, offer up your best suggestions as to what you think represents the Magic City burger-wise. Our chefs will taste test your creation and the winner will have their burger featured as a special on the opening 5 Napkin Burger menu.
Executive Chef Andy D’Amico, the creator of 5 Napkin Burger, the only upscale (and full-service) restaurant devoted to the art of the hamburger, will be on hand to select the winner. The menu in Miami mirrors the New York and Boston locations; with expertly prepared American classics including sushi maki rolls, matzo ball soup, steak frites and fish & chips rounding out the roster, with the stars - of course - being the burgers. The signature is 10 ounces of fresh ground chuck topped with rosemary aioli, caramelized onions and melted Gruyère on a soft white roll. The full lineup includes the all-American Bacon Cheddar, Italian Turkey, Veggie, Lamb, Tuna, Inside Out, and Burger Salad. Now what can you come up with?
