VERITAGEMIAMI : A Four Day Food Wine and Beer Celebration

Who/What: VERITAGEMIAMI is one of the city’s most prominent food, wine and spirits celebrations benefitting the United Way of Miami-Dade. Formerly known as the Miami Wine & Food Festival, VeritageMiami celebrates its 19th year in 2014. The four- day extravaganza kicks off with a Craft Beer Tasting at the vibrant Wynwood Walls on Wednesday, April 9. The world-renowned murals will serve as a gorgeous back-drop as the crowd samples favorites from local restaurants. In addition to delightful bites, guests will sample over 100 selections of craft beers and micro-brews. Thursday’s Fine Wine Tasting at Village of Merrick Park features more than 350 wines from wineries such as Château D'Esclans, Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery, Santa Carolina, to name a few. Bites will be provided by Miami’s most celebrated restaurants including Dolce Italian at the Gale Hotel, Uvaggio, Pascal’s on Ponce and Truluck’s. One of the most anticipated events of this year’s four day celebration, the Interactive Dinner will take place at the InterContinental Miami featuring five of Miami’s most talented chefs – Alberto Cabrera of Bread + Butter, Todd Erickson of HaVen South Beach and Huahua’s Taqueria, José Mendin of The Pubbelly Restaurant Group, Giorgio Rapicavoli of Eating House, and Cesar Zapata of The Federal Food, Drink & Provisions. Guests will cook alongside the chefs, and enjoy the dishes prepared that evening. The closing event, Dinner on the Diamond, takes place Saturday at Marlins Park where guests will enjoy dinner on the field, silent and live auctions and a very special performance by Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth.

All proceeds benefit United Way of Miami-Dade.
