United States Iconic Dish – BBQ

Cuisine ranges from Southern food, to Tex-Mex, to Midwestern Cuisine, but the most American cuisine is arguably BBQ . American cuisine is almost as diverse as the people that inhabit it. Due to the fact that there are immigrants from every corner of the planet in this country, you can find food from all over the place. BBQ is prepared through the method of slow-cooking meat with the use of smoke, imparting a distinct flavor that cannot be achieved any other way. The process usually takes hours and leads to the common explanation of the cuisine, “low and slow.” Ribs, pulled pork, and brisket are the typical meats that are smoked, and general variations differ from region to region.
