WHO/WHAT: In honor of National Bourbon Heritage Month (September), TUR Kitchen in Coral Gables will host an exclusive culinary experience that matches the culinary wizardry of Chef Christian Chirino with award-winning Angel’s Envy Bourbon on October. The one-of-a-kind five-course dinner pairing, priced at $175 per person, inclusive of tax and gratuity will take guests on an indulgent journey through the Mediterranean. Each dish, made with organic and sustainable ingredients from local farms will be enhanced by an accompanying Bourbon pour.
As guests arrive, they will be offered a handcrafted welcome bourbon cocktail. Once seated, the first course of Croissant and Tobacco Butter prepared with 5J Iberico Ham and pickled cherries will be paired with Angel’s Envy Rye Whiskey finished in Caribbean Rum Casks and infused with chorizo and black cherries. Guests will then enjoy Ratatouille Tart made with merguez and a maple Bourbon glaze, served with a cocktail designed to bring out the flavors, “Amaro is Sweet,” followed by a course of Niman Ranch Pork Chop roasted with coffee butter, pommes aligot, sweet cippolini and nasturtium, served with Angel’s Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon finished in port wine barrels. Then, a Smoked Grilled Boyd Farm Coulotte steak with roasted broccolini puree, romanesco, roots confit and demi glace follows, paired with the Angel’s Envy Rye. To finish the evening on a sweet note, guests can graze on Mignardises and Truffles, complemented with Angel’s Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon finished in port wine barrels and infused with apricots, dates, ginger, mint and cloves.
