The Miami Takeover is back in Miami Beach this summer, bringing one of the most anticipated cultural festivals in the country to the shoreline July 24–27, 2026. Now in its 18th year, the event continues to grow as a multi-day experience that blends music, art, nightlife, comedy, and community into one high-energy weekend.
Created by three Florida A&M University (FAMU) graduates from the Washington, D.C. area, The Miami Takeover has evolved into a nationally recognized summer tradition that attracts thousands of attendees from across the United States. The festival is built around connection, culture, and celebration, offering a curated lineup of events designed for groups, friends, and travelers looking to experience Miami Beach in a more immersive way.
Set against the backdrop of Miami Beach, The Miami Takeover delivers a full weekend of experiences that highlight Black culture, entertainment, and creativity. From day to night, each event is designed to bring people together through music, performance, and shared celebration.
This year’s festival is presented in collaboration with the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority and the City of Miami Beach Tourism and Culture Department, reinforcing its role as a major cultural moment in the city’s summer calendar.
Friday, July 24
The weekend begins at the iconic Miami Beach Bandshell with stand-up comedy, live go-go music, R&B performances, and immersive art installations featuring Black artists. This opening night sets the tone for a weekend centered on creativity and expression.
The celebration continues into the night with a high-energy Miami Beach nightlife experience featuring music, dancing, and an atmosphere built for connection and celebration.
Saturday, July 25
A classic Miami experience, the Splash Pool Party brings together DJs, cocktails, and a vibrant social atmosphere in a sun-soaked setting. It’s one of the weekend’s signature daytime events.
Hosted in Wynwood at Uva Uva, this late-night R&B experience blends old-school classics with contemporary hits, creating one of the most anticipated nightlife moments of the festival.
Sunday, July 26
A meaningful part of the weekend, the Beach Sweep invites guests to give back to Miami Beach through a community cleanup effort that supports environmental preservation and local impact.
The crown jewel of The Miami Takeover weekend, the All White Mega Yacht Party sets sail along the Miami coastline with music, cocktails, and panoramic views of the city skyline. It remains one of the most iconic yacht experiences during the summer season in Miami.
