Taperia Raca Cheers on Miami Heat with Viewing Parties for NBA Playoffs and Finals

Taperia Raca head honchos, Chef/Owner Giorgio Rapicavoli and GM/Owner Alex Casanova, are celebrating their favorite NBA team’s road to victory with special viewing parties during all remaining Miami Heat Playoff, and Finals games (with the exception of those that fall on Sunday afternoon or Monday night). TVs and a large, high-definition projection screen will run the games with surround sound, while the kitchen throws-out during-game specials ($2-$18) such as sweet-n-sour shishito-glazed D-Wade Duck Wings; King J Croquetas with truffle, manchego, arroz Valencia and aioli; 3-Peat Pinchos; The Big 3 – a variety plate of four pinchos, four duck wings and four croquetas; and the B.O.S.H. Burger – a beef patty topped with Bleu cheese, Onion jam, Serrano ham and Heirloom tomato. $15 Pat Riley Pitchers of Mahou or Fat Tire beer and $25 White Hot or Red Hot sangria pitchers are also on offer.

Taperia Raca’s regular menu will be served during Heat Playoff Games as well.

The latest concept from Chef Giorgio Rapicavoli and business partner Alex Casanova, the talented young duo behind Coral Gables’ foodie favorite Eating House, Taperia Raca, is a the quaint Spanish tapas restaurant and wine bar located in Miami’s MiMo district. Boasting a menu of classic and modern Spanish flavors with the whimsical flair for which Rapicavoli is known, along with an atmosphere that melds casual Spanish taperia and hip, urban eatery, the restaurant is the ultimate collaboration of owners Rapicavoli and Casanova, and is aptly represented in its name: Taperia, Spanish slang for “tapas restaurant” and Raca, a combination of the first two letters of the owners’ last names. Open for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch, Chef de Cuisine Ryan Harrison and Rapicavoli put out a soulful menu of shareable Cold Dishes, Hot Dishes, craveable Desserts and a killer Sunday Brunch. Since it’s onset it has received nods including “Miami’s 6 Best New Desserts” from Thrillist, a fabulous review in Miami New Times, and ongoing diner fanfare.

Taperia Raca, located at 7010 Biscayne Boulevard in the MiMo District is open Tuesday - Thursday, from 11:00AM - 10:00PM; Friday & Saturday, from 11:00AM - 11:00PM; and Sunday brunch from 11:00AM - 4:00PM. Metered street parking available and Karma carwash available for parking after 8 p.m. Taperia Raca accepts reservations via CityEats. Telephone: 305.751.8756. Website: www.taperiaraca.com.
