I just wanted to send you some info about an event I'm coordinating for September 30th! I know you obviously like food and (possibly) beer, so I wanted to send you the details! Also Mirka (Miami Culinary Tours; guide) mentioned how her sister is an artist, so maybe she can participate before we close our artist calls! It's up to her, but if she's interested please let me know and I'll forward her information to the art curator.

The body of the e-mail will contain all the event information! So far we have 18 different styles of Craft Beer, 25 established artists, art activities, and entertainment by DJ Andre Xavier who performed at Wine and Food Festival and Mercedes Benz Fashion week. We are sponsored by Toyota Zinn and we're working on getting a partnership with the Miami Herald. There's A lot more coming, so here's the details so far:

Young at Art Children's museum is expanding to a 55,000 sq ft structure set to open May 2012 in Davie, Florida. In order to commemorate the past 20 years of progress and expansion, we are hosting a fundraiser event. The event will benefit the museum, and will be one night of Beer, Art and Food pairing. The event will take place September 30th at Project Space in the battery of Ft Lauderdale's new emerging arts district. The event will have stations of beer, food and art activities for adults for an enjoyable evening.

The beer is produced by the FIU hospitality department named FIU B.R.E.W, a student run craft brew department that is growing rapidly. Food will be created by Slow Food Trucks and chef Zachary Schwartz, who recently opened a new cafe. Art activity by Mindy Shrago, the founder of Young at Art Children's Museum and many, many more.. Food item will either be a meat entree or homemade pretzels.

Sponsors for the event: Zinn Automotive Group, (Toyota, Lexus, Scion), Slow Food Truck, Taste Buds Catering, Eco Simplista, B.R.E.W. FIU, Mike Sipe Entertainment, PBR, Brown Brewery, Gold Coast Distributors, 105.9, Potions in Motions Bar and Catering, PRP wines other beer sponsors, and many more to come!

Young at Art is a non profit with outreach programs and thousands of supporters. It is considered a symbol in Davie since 1984 with about 100,000 hits on their site yearly, and 300,000 attendees a year. Slow Food Truck has been written about by Miami Herald, Plum TV, Ch 10 News, Miami New Times and are nominated for Great Food Truck race as a top contender.
