Whole Foods Market has announced plans to open a new 40,000 square foot location in Pompano Beach. The store, which will be located at the northwest corner of the intersection at North Federal Highway (US1) and Copan’s Road, in the space formerly occupied by K-Mart, is slated to open in 2014.
“We are thrilled to be opening in Pompano Beach. For years, our customers have been longing for a store here and we’ve wanted to open one as well,” says Juan Nuñez, President of Whole Foods Market – Florida Region. “After much planning, it’s very exciting to see it come to fruition.”
With 17 stores throughout the state, and four stores already in development, this will be Whole Foods Market’s 22nd location in Florida. Other locations throughout Florida are in Winter Park, Jacksonville, Sarasota, Wellington, Pinecrest, Palm Beach Gardens, Plantation, Naples, Orlando, Coral Springs, Fort Lauderdale, South Beach, Coral Gables, Boca Raton, Aventura, Tampa and Pembroke Pines.
