This was a very intimate experience for me an my husband. We came to Iron Side Cafe on a Tuesday on a rainy night I did not know what to expect while we were driving to the location but when we arrived, the Zen looking place out me right at ease.
We were greeted by owners Fernando Nascimento and Chef Nuno Grullon (former at Metro Organic Bistro). The place is small inside with one large communal table and another one next to the kitchen. The whole space inside reminded me of a casa de campo in Uruguay or Argentina. It was very nice ambiance. It was raining but we noticed that outside there was a much larger sitting with outdoor furniture to relax and have some of their exquisite and elaborated cuisine.
I had the their Crab & Avocado 13 Crab Meat, Watercress, Tomato, Red Onion, Coriander, Lime Vinaigrette and Avocado. It was perfectly composed with a generous serving of crab, something you do not expect often in Miami. The watercress was seamlessly including in the salad, the lime vinaigrette was delicate. I very much enjoyed this salad and the acovado was very thinly cut this is the way I most enjoy it.
this salads was mane with Sashimi Grade Yellowfin Tuna, Red Onion, Capers and Spicy Lemon Dressing served with home made Crostini. The tartare was delicate but had a punch of that spicy lemon dressing. Combined with the crostini, every bite deserved a ha moment.
