I rarely walk south of fifth but I know that I have to pay a visit to all of the restaurants around South Pointe Park. As this past weekend was insanely busy at the beach, I had to park very far from where I needed to go. I stated to walk on 5th street and as I had an hour to kill I ended up on Prime Italian.
I like the ambiance here and decided to stay at the bar section. Soon after the bartender comes to take my order and she was well prepared to answer any questions I may have, she had a great attitude which is rare to find in South Beach. I ordered a glass of wine. I wish the white wine was a bit more chilled, it is a hot day so I like my wine cold.
Nothing much on the menu tempted me, I was not there really to eat but just to have a glass of wine and contemplate an afternoon in South Beach watching people go by, but I decided to order the four cheese pizza because I started to get hungry after seeing so much food go back and forth from the kitchen. I love flat bread pizzas and this one at Prime Italian was good, not amazingly great but good enough. It was a good size pizza for one person, although it was big I ended up finishing it. By the time I got the last slices the cheese was already cold which is something that I hate but nevertheless I did not leave one crumb.
Perhaps for me what stood the most from Prima Italian was the service, the bartender, a nice, pretty and well informed girl (tall is the Empire State building) made my experience one to remember.
