If you’re looking for a place with some interesting takes on fast food, Pincho Factory might be the place for you. This restaurant is following a concept that all fast food places should strive to uphold. Basically, they feel that just because you are being served burgers, hot dogs, skewers, and fries doesn’t mean that you need to settle for food that is poorly prepared. Nedal, the owner, has made it an effort to produce the freshest food possible in an environment that is inviting to people of all ages. This restaurant has won a considerable amount of accolades, and in my opinion they are all well deserved. On this particular visit, I was able to try my way through some of their mainstays and one of their specialty burgers. Everything served was picture perfect, and the aromas coming from the food were definitely tempting to my party and me. The staff was very friendly and the food did not take long whatsoever.

Sweet Potato Tots

As mentioned previously, I stuck to some of their mainstays, which included the Fritanga Burger and their Egg’In Burger along with their Sweet Potato Tots and a large order of fries. The patties are made from a blend of fresh chuck, brisket, and short rib and are always made to order. Although the cashier does not ask you what temperature you want your burger cooked to, you can make a request and they will comply. The Fritanga Burger is a patty topped with a Nicaraguan fried cheese block, cabbage slaw, and crema on a brioche bun. The fried cheese might sound like a bit excessive for a burger but it is nicely balanced by the crunch of the slaw and creaminess of the crema. The bun is perfectly soft and the perfect vehicle to carry such ingredients since it won’t break down under the juiciness of the burger and toppings. The Egg’In Burger comes on the same brioche bun topped with a perfectly runny fried egg, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and cilantro sauce. This was my personal favorite of the night since it tasted like the epitome of a burger with the added decadence of a fried egg. Besides that, it was a textbook example of what a burger should be. Sometimes, you just want to eat something familiar with a bit of an upgrade. The Sweet Potato Tots were a different take on the side that we all grew up with as kids. The simple fact that these were made out of sweet potato made them addicting since it was a nice way to counter all the savory ingredients found in the other items. Something costumers should be advised though is that all fries are fried in peanut oil. Although this is not a problem for me, it could be something that people would be interested in knowing.

The specialty burger I got to try on this visit was the 24k Frita. This is Pincho Factory’s take on the Cuban burger that has begun to gain popularity in the past couple of months. Basically, it is a chorizo patty topped with jack cheese, coffee caramelized onions, homemade potato sticks, and a fried egg between a Cuban roll. My favorite part of this burger was the onions, since the sweetness from them was a very nice foil to the slight spiciness of the patty and richness from the egg. The overall burger was very good, but if I could change one thing it would be the choice of bun. I understand that if you don’t use the Cuban roll it technically is not a Frita, but I felt like this type of bread was a bit dry and covered up the flavors of the whole package. You can easily just tell the staff that you want your Frita on a brioche bun and they will not bat an eyelash. This brings me to my final point on Pincho Factory. The fact that you can customize your order to exactly how you like it is what draws me to this place most. Everyone is extremely accommodating and they will do everything in their power to make sure that you have the best experience possible.

I have nothing but good things to say about Pincho Factory. The food is expertly prepared at a reasonable price and the staff is very attentive to the requests of guests. I highly recommend this restaurant for the food and service and wish them continued success on their endeavors. I know they will continue to pave the way through the Miami food scene and I look forward to seeing what they will be bringing next to our wonderful city.
