The Peruvian-American Chamber of commerce invites you to the 4th edition of Peru Gourmet, an event meant to celebrate Peruvian food. For a single price, you will have the opportunity to sample the best Peruvian cuisine South Florida has to offer. Taking place on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the Rusty Pelican from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m, this event will be to benefit La Asociacion Emergencia Ayacucho (The Ayacucho Emergency Association), a 28-year-old organization dedicated to the improvement of children’s livelihood in Peru.
At the festival, you will be able to enjoy bites from restaurants such as Divino Ceviche, El Gran Inka, Dr Limon, Cholo’s Restaurant, and Nanos Anticuchos. After, indulge in lively Peruvian desserts from local bakeries such as Catalina’s Bakeshop. Samples will include Peruvian staples, such as ceviche, lomo salteado, causa, and risotto and desserts based on fruits such as lucuma and chirimoya.
Drinks will include your typical Peruvian sodas and alcoholic beverages. Indulge in the local Inca Kola or the variety of Pisco, a white grape brandy in which stainless steel and glass are the only containers that it ever comes in contact with.
It is sure to be a night full of delectable eats and refreshing drinks, so make your way to this event that promises to satisfy your palate and mind with culture, food, and good times.
