Summer is a slow season for Miami hotels. It’s no wonder, then, that many of them are trying to—literally—cater to locals with happy hours, specially priced menus and other discounts. If you’ve been waiting to try (or return to) any of these hotel restaurants, now is the time!
The Setai celebrates its fifth anniversary this year, and the celebrations include the unveiling of a new menu at The Restaurant, whose kitchen is helmed by award-winning Executive Chef Jonathan Wright, as well as a happy hour at The Bar & Courtyard.
The Restaurant’s three-course prix-fixe menu changes weekly, rotating a number of the chef’s specialties. But you’ll always get freshly baked Indian Nan bread, Indonesian fish crackers and fresh Achars and Pickles, followed by an amuse bouche. The menu consists of a choice each from three appetizers, entrees and desserts.
The Restaurant’s sommelier Dwayne Savoie has created “Bottleshock,” a special consisting of 60 wines—all of which have a score over 90 points from Wine Spectator—that will be offered at a discount of 40%.
Starting July 16, Balinese Gamelan players will perform at The Setai’s Bar & Courtyard from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. A special summer cocktail menu featuring Asian-inspired creations will be served, as chefs grill complimentary Satay, to be served on small clay grills.
