Friday, September 7, 2012-- Paradiso Ristorante, Lake Worth’s traditional Italian Fine Dining Restaurant invites you to experience the flavors of Sicily at this month’s Wine Dinner, Wednesday September 19, 6:30 p.m. Join Chef Angelo Romano and Sommelier Brett Hart to explore this region of the Mediterranean while enjoying an intimate five course Degustazione Style Dinner.
Located just less than 2 miles off of mainland Italy, Sicily's rich, fertile soil enriches the grapes that produce some of Italy's best kept secrets. Previously known mainly for Marsala wines, Sicily now produces more wine than New Zealand, Austria and Hungary combined, gaining vast recognition for many native varietals.
Throughout this five course meal, guests will learn about the grapes, flavors and nuances while indulging in traditional Sicilian cuisine. The four wines are produced from the following Sicilian grapes; Grillo, a crisp, moderate acidity and notable sweetness. Ansonica, a well structured grape with notes of almond and citrus. Frappato,an aromatic and light weight flavor with soft cherry color. The journey ends with Nero d'Avola, a dark, robust and full bodied grape
Tickets are priced at $85 per person with required reservations.
