October 10, 2011 – 1500° at Eden Roc Renaissance Miami Beach is the only Florida restaurant to be named one of The Best New Restaurants of 2011 by Esquire magazine in its prestigious annual November feature of the same name, penned by noted food and wine author John Mariani. Mariani’s selection of 1500° and executive chef Paula DaSilva reinforces what locals and visitors have been raving about since the restaurant’s opening in October 2010.
Under the direction of DaSilva, the menu at 1500° is sublimely simple, delivering layered flavors combined with soulful rustic cookery. Ingredients are expertly sourced by DaSilva with an emphasis on Florida’s bounty; in fact, prior to 1500°’s opening, the chef worked with Eden Roc management to install an on-site vegetable and herb garden.
