Just returning from his truffle extravaganza at the James Beard House earlier this week, acclaimed chef/restaurateur Angelo Elia, owner of three Casa D’Angelos, D’Angelo Pizza, Wine Bar and Tapas, and his latest concept D’Angelo Trattoria on Delray Beach, will host two truffle cooking classes at Jean Pierre’s Cooking School in Fort Lauderdale on Monday, December 12th and Tuesday, December 13th.
Chef Elia, along with friend and school proprietor chef Jean Pierre, will take guests on a four course journey through truffle heaven that will include his signature dishes such as white truffle risotto and roasted tenderloin of beef with truffle shavings, as well as a seafood course and a delightful dessert. Each course will incorporate the very coveted white truffle, currently running at over $3500 per pound this season. Guests are encouraged to bring their own wines and enjoy a unique evening of educational dining.
Classes, priced at $138 per person, begin at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, December 12 and Tuesday, December 13, 2011.
