VEZA SUR Brewing Co. is proud to announce their participation in Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.’s campaign to support the Camp Fire Relief efforts by brewing their Resilience Butte County Proud IPA to raise funds for those impacted by the devastating Camp Fire in California. Based in Miami, VEZA SUR knows too well how devastating a natural disaster can be, for us it’s hurricanes. Today, on Thursday November 29, VEZA SUR began brewing the IPA which will be available at the brewery starting December 21. 100% of the sales will be donated to the Sierra Nevada Camp Fire Relief Fund, supported through the Golden Valley Bank Community Foundation.

On November 8, the Camp Fire broke out near the town of Paradise, California, and obliterated everything in its path, destroying nearly 10,000 homes, killing residents and leveling the town of 27,000 people. The disastrous fire is considered the most destructive wildfire in the state of California’s history.

“Having experienced Hurricane Irma three weeks after opening to the public, we can only imagine how devastating the fire has been for the community,” says Head Brewer Rhett Dougherty. “Having had the support after Irma, we knew it was our turn to pay it forward and help rebuild the communities of those affected by the destructive fire.”

VEZA SUR is not alone in supporting these efforts, M.I.A Beer Company and Islamorada Beer Company are joining Sierra Nevada along with other South Florida based breweries. The support and outreach South Florida has received in the past has been life-changing, and the VEZA SUR team is happy to support the affected communities in California by being a part of the great initiative kicked off by Sierra Nevada.
