Every Wednesday this June discerning diners seeking deals should look no further than 50 for 50: a month-long wine promotion at Gotham Steak at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach featuring 50 bottle selections from around the world offered to customers at a 50% discount. The list, which runs the gamut from beautiful reds to buttery white varietals priced from $18 to $150, was handpicked by the resort’s award-winning sommelier David Mokha to perfectly accompany the bold multi-layered flavors that have made Gotham Steak such a well-regarded dining destination.
According to Mokha, the promotion offers incredible values throughout the spectrum. “There are many great wines available among the 50 for $50 but I have to say the Dominus Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2006, which normally is priced at $300.00 for a bottle is a steal at $150.00. There is no list of California’s premier wineries that does not include Dominus Estate. At half price it is $150.00 dollars which would please any and all wine lovers!”
The 50 for 50 selections will be on offer in the recently-launched Lounge at Gotham Steak and in the downstairs Dining Room. In addition to the a la carte menu offerings, patrons in the main dining room can enjoy Gotham Steak’s special prix fixe menu; this secret gem of a deal is only available in The Dining Room at Gotham Steak Sunday through Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. but in June it will be available during complete dinner service hours every Wednesday from 6 to 12 p.m. The prix fixe is priced at an unbeatable $45 per person (not including tax and gratuity).
Gotham Steak menu expands beyond modern American steakhouse fare to include Florida’s freshest seafood, specialty cuts of meat and a temperature-controlled, two-story wine room with more than 1,500 vintages from all over the world. The menu combines cutting edge cooking techniques, including sous vide, for the melt-in-your-mouth, 5 lb. bone-in Cote de Boeuf, presented and carved tableside in an old-world steakhouse manner. Other decadent certified prime cuts available are the beautifully marbled New York strips, rib-eyes and porterhouse steaks and fork-tender cuts of filet mignon. The restaurant also features a daily selection of raw items such as oysters, clams, shrimp, stone crab, hamachi and tuna tartare as well as two distinct caviar selections.
