Joey’s, an authentic contemporary Italian café located in the heart of Miami’s hip Wynwood Arts District, at 2506 N.W. 2nd Avenue, is introducing an artful new menu of six signature cocktails; innovative drink creations incorporating the classic flavors and spirit of Italy as well as many fresh modern ingredients popular in today’s culture. To raise the bar, Joey’s is hosting a weekly Happy Hour celebration, every Thursday and Friday, beginning Thursday, June 16, from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., featuring complimentary samplings of Chef Ivo Mazzon’s award-winning, thin-crusted pizzas, served at the bar to accompany cocktails.
New house cocktails (priced at $10 each) include Gino, a delicious blending of Tanqueray gin, amaretto and Campari with a splash of tonic. For more of a kick, guests can sample Mosca, a combination of Stoli and Citrus Ketel One vodka with Moscato wine, topped with 3 Italian coffee beans, or Il Re, a refreshing mix of Crown Royal, Cointreau, ginger ale and fresh orange. Sure to be a popular choice, Precipizio ($14), aptly named for its edgy ingredients, offers a potent blend of Stoli vodka, Tanqueray gin,
Jose Cuervo tequila, triple sec, Galliano and Curacao. Joey’s extensive and reasonably priced wine by the glass menu, featuring many hard to find Italian vintages, will also be on offer.
Opened in December 2008 the restaurant is owned by Joey Goldman, a principal in Goldman Properties. Joey’s has garnered rave reviews and a loyal following for its simple, authentic Italian cuisine, created by Ivo Mazzon, the restaurant’s Venetian chef, and its well-regarded wine list, with national recognition in publications including Food & Wine, Wall Street Journal and Travel & Leisure.
