MIAMI, September 5, 2012—The first annual Taste of the Beach & End of Summer Block Party, Miami Beach’s first community-driven food event, will take place from Saturday, September 29th through Sunday, September 30th with a portion of the proceeds going to The Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation. Presented by The Beach Channel, this event will bring together foodies, families and the entire Miami-Dade community for a two-day long event featuring notable chefs, local restaurants, music, recreational activities and more.
The outdoor event will be open from 11am to 6pm daily and feature over 40 restaurants and community organizations. The $5 general admission includes $5 worth of food tickets.
“We wanted to create a community and family-driven event that provides local restaurants and businesses an opportunity to showcase their food, products and services in an engaging and fun environment,” says Debora Diaz of The Beach Channel.
The Collins Park Neighborhood Association, welcomes Taste of The Beach & End of Summer Block Party to the beautiful beachside Collins Park, where the event will span from the BASS Museum to the oceanfront.
This year, Taste of the Beach will feature the culinary expertise of celebrity chef Robyn Almodovar (of FOX’s Hell’s Kitchen, and now owner of Palate Party), Shake Shack, Books & Books Café, Texas de Brazil, Ola Restaurant, Nespresso, Café Prima Pasta, Mixtura, Haven, Mango’s, Maxine’s and more.
The Beach Channel is the presenting sponsor for the inaugural Taste of the Beach & End of Summer Block Party.
