Life has been more exciting (I mean my food life) since American Noodle Bar opened up on Biscayne Blvd. I don't know about you but Biscayne Blvd. at around 50th-ish, where this restaurant is located ,sometimes leaves a lot to be desired, don't get me wrong, I love MIMO architecture and this neighborhood is where you find those timeless buildings, and I like hole-in-wall-places - but oh boy, sometimes I feel that locking the car and watching my back while I walk around here is not enough. Regardless, this place equals happiness to me because I love impeccable executed Asian inspiring cuisine.
I go to American Noodle bar quite often, this is one of the places I tempt my husband frequently to go and he is always up for some of their short ribs which I have to say after taking a bite (side note: I do not like to eat pork anymore after watching the movie Food Inc.), but they are amazingly tasty, cooked to perfection as the meat comes right off the bone. I only take one bite as if I am going to get punished by some higher power.
I always go for the noodle bowl with sriracha butter sauce, mixed veggies, mushrooms and of course I always HAVE to have the fried egg and Chinese sausage. The noodles are soft yet not overcooked, they are well soaked in the salty tasty sauce (in terms of timing). When you cut into the egg, all that deliciousness inside adds to the sauce; as the yolk remains liquid, all I have to say, it is pure genius ingredient combinations. I always end up scooping the remaning sauce when all the noodles are gone - and this is to me the highlight of this dish. Right now after writing this, I am heading to American noodle bar, it's an ongoing, hard to brake, food addiction.
