South Beach In Miami Is Where It’s At.

The weather is beautiful. The places are beautiful. The people are beautiful. Also called SoBe, South Beach has it all day and night – from top-notch dining to gorgeous beaches to quaint boutiques to fantastic clubs and even quiet family fun. Tourists from all around the world will feel at home in this multicultural mecca.

If you’re planning a trip to South Beach, it doesn’t matter what type of accommodations you’re looking for. SoBe is riddled with all types of places to stay. Hotels, boutique hotels, bed and breakfast and economy hotels all practically have stunning views of the ocean and are within walking distance of the fabulous beaches. Accommodations can range from upscale luxury to cozy. Many of the hotels in South Beach are just a short walk away from many of the popular attractions found in the neighborhood.

South Beach is infused with art and culture. One can find over 800 architecturally protected buildings built in the 1930s and the 1940s. The popular Art Deco District, located off Ocean Drive near Tenth Street, has a rich history of being populated by the rich in the 1920s, as well as being a Mafia hang-out in the 1950s. In the 1980s the Art Deco District was refurbished when Andy Warhol asked for a guided tour, and has been a destination spot ever since. The home of Gianni Versace can be found within the Art Deco District.

Lummus Park Beach in South Beach is an excellent place to people-watch. If you want to go to the beach, toss a Frisbee around, take your dog for a walk, or have a picnic, South Pointe Park is the place for you. If you’re looking for a free and beautiful activity, Miami Beach Botanical Garden is the spot for you. At the heart of South Beach, the 4 ½ acres boast a variety of plants that include bromeliads, palms found in the subtropics, and orchids.

South Beach could be the center of the world when it comes to dining. The fresh ingredients from the sea and long growing season make the restaurants found within the vicinity make them some of the best in the world. At South Beach you can experience Cuban food, Peruvian food, Chinese food and good old “American” food.

Visiting South Beach is like visiting the most beautiful outdoor mall. Everyone should come to South Beach at least once in their lifetime and know what it is to truly fall in love with a place.
