In recognition of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, many hotels and restaurants are offering drink/food specials with proceeds benefiting organizations committed to finding a cure. Please find some of the Miami offerings that are helping to make a difference:

Description: Whether you like beer or wine, or want something a little stronger, City Tap House’s Drink Pink specials have something to suit everyone’s taste including a Ruby & Ginger cocktail created especially for the cause along with beer (Victory’s Cherry Goose pilsner, $5) and wine (Notorious Pink rosé, $9) specials. In keeping with the pink theme, special Breast Cancer Awareness Month menu additions include Key West pink shrimp cake with beet and horseradish relish ($12), and strawberry shortcake with pink rosewater Chantilly crème ($8).
Special: For the month of October a portion of the proceeds from select “pink” menu items will be donated to a local breast cancer organization.

Description: Steak 954 will honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a specialty pink-hued cocktail created with a purpose. The refreshing rosé sangria includes Provence rosé blended with St. Germaine, Kaffir lime vodka, fresh lemon juice, ginger - strawberry syrup, orange zest, thyme, strawberries and raspberries ($14). Steak 954’s Rosé for Life is the perfect way to “drink pink” this October and support the ongoing fight against breast cancer.
Special: Throughout the month of October, proceeds from the sale of Steak 954’s “Rosé for Life” will benefit breast cancer research.

Cocktail: Free Tequila
Description: Along with donating a percentage of sales from the weekly Rocco’s Spirited Tacos, Tequila & TaTas Tuesdays to the Broward Health Foundation’s Lillian S. Wells Women’s Health Center, anytime Rocco is on the bar in his custom-made breast cancer awareness pink patent leather shoes, he’ll pour complimentary tequila as a thank you. Any supporter that donates $25 or more will also receive a bottle of tequila to take home. Follow him on his Facebook fan page to find out where he’ll be. During Rocco’s Spirited Tacos, Tequila & Tatas Tuesdays, guests can indulge in all-you-can- eat tacos ($14.99 per person) including Rocco’s signature chicken, pork, steak, beef, mushroom, shrimp or mahi tacos, outfitted with all the fixings. The special is available every Tuesday from open to close and drink specials start at 7 pm including $5 Maestro Dobel MargariTaTas, $15 Maestro Dobel MargariTaTa pitchers, $3 Dos Equis Amber & Lager drafts and $3 Sol bottles. Rocco’s Tacos will also be one of the only US retailers offering Special Edition pink bottles of Clase Azul Reposado Tequila. The small batch 1 liter bottles of tequila will be on sale for $150, with $50 from every bottle sold donated to the cause.
