Sip And Savor Cocktails At The W South Beach Hotel & Residences

Handcrafted Couture Cocktails Abound at this Fabulous Hotspot

Watch the action unfold at the Living Room, a magical, night-time playground nestled in the lobby of the W South Beach Hotel & Residences. Sip and savor cocktails custom made by the folks at Bar Lab, under the direction of Nicola Siervo and Karim Masri of KNR Restaurant Group, who are responsible for starting Miami’s mixology movement. Their most recent project is sure to produce a buzz: creating the innovative beverage program at the coveted Andrew Carmellini roots-inspired hotspot The Dutch; just opened next door to the Living Room in time for Art Basel’s chic international crowd. Custom-made cocktails offered at the hotspot include The Havana with Russian Standard Vodka, grape jam, tarragon, lemon and sparkling wine. Also on offer is the Dutch Kill crafted with Beefeater Gin, hibiscus syrup, house lavender bitters and lemon.

Tauted by the New York Times as “authentic like no one has ever seen anywhere else in Miami”, DRINKSCH The Living Room’s infusions and flavored bitters are made on-site by mixologists, often touted as alchemists; using unique ingredients such as lavender, cinnamon, and basil which in-turn are blended by hand with unusual spirits and unique liquors some of which have been picked up on trips to faraway places. While the traditional standbys are always on offer, the menu boasts creative libations such as the Chemista, a champagne cocktail infused with flower blossom syrup and topped with Japanese cucumber foam. The Smokey Artichoke is made from Mezcal, stirred with sweet vermouth, Cynar amaro and spiked with tobacco bitters. Just say a few words about your mood and flavor or spirit preferences and sit back and watch as your couture cocktail gets handcrafted by one of the Living Room’s master mixologists. Most recently boasted as one of Food & Wine Magazine’s 50 Best Bars in America, Living Room also offers an extensive hand-picked wine list featuring selections from champagnes by the glass to bold and racy full-bodied reds as well as crisp and fruity whites by the bottle.

As guests sip their exotic concoctions, they may opt to perch on the white Mongolian alpaca chairs, settle into the comfy Italian sofas or lounge on the swanky velvet armchairs or simply enjoy the breezes on the terrace. Patrons can drop in before dinner or before a night of dancing to play the specially designed board games or groove to the live in-house DJ spinning loungey Caribbean sounds nightly from 7 p.m. until 2 a.m.

Hungry? Snack on truffle popcorn; enjoy a fresh Greek salad or munch on a Dry Aged Burger complete with secret sauce from the Living Room’s exclusive menu.
