Seed Food & Wine Plant-based Restaurant Week Program Begins October 1st

Over 25 Participating Restaurants from West Palm Beach to South Miami


SEED FOOD & WINE WEEK presented by Whole Foods Market (SEED), is proud to launch its inaugural strictly plant-based restaurant week program from October 1 through October 15, 2018. With more than 25 participating restaurants from Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties, diners can enjoy a variety of options from casual to upscale. Guests will be able to select an appetizer, entree and dessert or a prix-fixe meal at a fantastic price – $18 Lunch; $26 Dinner at Fast Casual Concepts and $22 Lunch; $36 Dinner at Fine Dining Restaurants.

“We wanted to highlight all the local plant-based dining options while bringing attention to the upcoming SEED FOOD & WINE WEEK Festival from November 7th through 11th. This is a great opportunity for the community to learn about and explore what a plant-based lifestyle means and how accessible it can be, while supporting local businesses,” said SEED Co-founder Alison Burgos.


SEED’s Plant-Based Restaurant Week Program runs from October 1-15, 2018. Highlights from the list of restaurants include Manna Life Food in Downtown Miami; Planta in Miami Beach; Love Life Café and Plant in Wynwood; Holi Vegan in North Miami Beach; Green Bar and Kitchen in Fort Lauderdale. Seed Food & Wine, presented by Whole Foods Market, is the premiere plant-based food and wine festival in the country. SEED celebrates delicious plant-based foods, fine wine, craft beer and spirits, lifestyle products and companies, all while raising awareness about conscious and sustainable living. About Alison Burgos and Michelle Gaber, SEED Co-Founders:

Alison Burgos and Michelle Gaber, the co-founders of Seed Food & Wine Festival, are partners in life and business. Alison has produced destination weekends and events in Las Vegas, Orlando, Miami, Atlanta, Charlotte, and Puerto Rico since 1998, attracting over 30,000 people annually. Michelle is a longtime entrepreneur and philanthropist. A year after Alison and Michelle met, Alison was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, an autoimmune disease. She was confined to a wheelchair from 2011 to 2012, then underwent knee replacement surgery, followed by six months of physical rehabilitation—all in order to be able to walk again. Michelle already lived a plant-based lifestyle, but the experience made both women delve further into a more conscious, healthy way of life Alison began consuming more fruits and vegetables, until adopting the plant-based diet she eats today. The changes she made allowed Alison to wean herself from medication, lose more weight than she ever had, feel more energetic and bring her inflammation levels down to remission level. Realizing the drastic and positive results of Alison’s lifestyle changes, Gaber and Burgos saw the opportunity to teach others how to eat their way to better health. Highly aware of the burgeoning food scene in Miami and inspired to create an inclusive event aimed at everyone, and not just vegans, Gaber and Burgos felt the moment was right to organize the first-of-it-kind plant-based food and wine festival to enlighten, educate and celebrate.
