Restaurants with Holiday Specials in South Florida



Toro Toro Miami downtown’s sizzling steakhouse, will offer a family-style Christmas Day dinner on December 25 from 6 – 11 p.m. Priced at $50 per person (excludes beverages, tax and gratuity), the holiday feast will include seasonal items with a Pan-Latin twist. Menu highlights will feature Toro Toro’s signature chopped salad – chayote, edamame, queso fresco, crispy pork belly, roasted corn, crispy tortilla and sherry vinaigrette; in addition to ground lamb anticucho skewers with garlic-yogurt sauce, pickled cucumbers and mint; parmesan crusted sea scallops with toasted bread crumbs and lemon butter sauce; honey chipotle ham; adobo turkey, braised short rib and delicious sides such as arroz congri and roasted sweet potatoes. Traditional tres leches and churros will be offered for dessert. The restaurant will also feature a signature Christmas cocktail, the Ponche Navidendo – blanco tequila, red apple, mango, raisins, cranberries, pineapple, brown sugar and cinnamon. Table 40, Toro Toro’s private chef's table, will offer a luxurious New Year's Eve package. Priced at $1000 per person (excludes tax and gratuity), the package will include a one-night room stay at the Intercontinental Miami, multi-course dinner by executive chef Eric Do and rooftop Champagne celebration. The dinner will feature an endless variety of decadent selections from both land and sea; each course will be paired with a wine or Champagne to perfectly complement the dishes. Menu highlights will include chipotle lobster sliders; Mote Marine sturgeon caviar; seafood platter featuring stone crab, king crab, oysters, mussels and conch ceviche; unagi-foie gras causa with aji Amarillo potato, pickled cucumber and kabayaki sauce; chipotle crab cakes; Waygu ribeye; dry-aged filet mignon; Maine lobster with aji rocoto butter and Chilean sea bass with an ahi panca miso marinade. Quattro Gastronomia Italiana, will offer á la carte, truffle-infused selections, in addition to the restaurant’s nightly dinner menu this Christmas and New Year’s Eve. The truffle menu will include antipasti – Fontina cheese fondue with poached egg yolk and toasted Biova croutons; and filet mignon tartare with parmigiano reggiano. For the first course, “Langhe” tagliolini in Italian butter sauce and risotto with Piemontese Toma cheese will be available options. SUSHISAMBA locations in Miami Beach and Coral Gables bring a taste of Japan, Brazil and Peru to Miami this holiday season. On December 24 & 25, á la carte Christmas offerings will include the Holiday Flip – a twist on a favorite holiday drink– Pisco Portón, 10-year aged port, maple syrup, chocolate bitters and an egg, dusted with fresh black pepper. Menu highlights will include roasted cauliflower with charred scallion, Fuji-apple glaze and lemongrass air; duck confit salad with pickled pear, candied cashew, baby watercress and wasabi-fig dressing; and robata lamb shank with parsnip purée, grilled scallion and Japanese parsley. SUGARCANE raw bar grill, the Midtown Miami hotspot specializing in eclectic shareable plates, will offer an array of Christmas specials on December 24 & 25. Menu highlights will include a Christmas cocktail made with pressed apple cider, spiced rum, cinnamon, hibiscus tea and anise and a variety of á la carte selections including boudin blanc with mustard seeds, black truffles and smoked apple chutney; roasted suckling pig with braised Swiss chard, potato purée and garlic mojo; and pan seared striped sea bass with watercress purée, Florida sturgeon caviar and roasted eggplant. The Dutch, renowned chef Andrew Carmellini’s collection of roots-inspired American cuisine will ring in 2014 with a New Year’s Eve five-course prix-fixe menu featuring inspired dishes with influences from all across the country. The meal will begin with canapés of potato latke with white sturgeon caviar and crème fraiche, followed by a choice of appetizer – foie gras torchon; or house-made brioche with a cherry gastrique, bitter cocoa nibs and sea salt. Next, diners will select from white truffle risotto or French brie with shaved parmesan and fresh shaved truffles. For the main course, selections will include beef wellington – crispy puff pastry-wrapped filet mignon with creamed root spinach, roasted chanterelles and bordelaise sauce; or John Dory – lobster broth, poached Maine lobster, root vegetables, rouille and warm crostini. Devon Seafood + Steak, South Miami’s go-to for premium-quality steaks and seafood, will offer a Christmas Eve special on December 24 from 4 – 10 p.m. Priced at $37 per person (excludes beverages, tax and gratuity), the dinner will begin with a choice of starter – baby green salad, spinach and watercress salad, or a decadent lobster bisque. For the main course, diners can select from a 6 oz. center cut filet with whipped Yukon gold potatoes and grilled asparagus; jumbo lump crab cakes with creole remoulade, mango tartar sauce, whipped Yukon gold potatoes and grilled asparagus; a 12 oz. Niman Ranch bone-in pork chop with mostarda, parmesan-herb roasted Yukon potatoes, and roasted cauliflower with bacon and onion jam; seared Georges Bank scallops with lobster risotto, Champagne beurre blanc and tobiko flakes; or 4 oz. filet combos featuring a choice of scallops, crab cake or fried shrimp with Yukon mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. 3030 Ocean, Fort Lauderdale’s chic oceanfront eatery, will offer a Christmas prix-fixe on December 24 & 25, in addition to the restaurant’s nightly á la carte dinner menu. Priced at $56 per person (excludes beverages, tax and gratuity), diners will enjoy a feast prepared by acclaimed chef Paula DaSilva. The meal will begin with roasted chestnut soup, followed by slow cooked prime rib with sweet onion, potato purée, Swank Farms winter vegetables and horseradish cream. A sweet seasonal dessert of peppermint pots-de-crème with biscotti will end the meal with a touch of Christmas spirit. The prime rib will also be available á la carte ($42). For New Year’s Eve, 3030 will offer a decadent four-course prix-fixe. Priced at $110 per person (excludes tax and gratuity), the meal will begin with an amuse bouche of warm salted cod brandade with grilled bread, followed by a first course of baked Coach Farm’s goat cheese with candied almonds, shaved fennel, Florida citrus and local honey; or Alaskan king crab with Swank Farm’s baby greens, cucumber, apple and lemon aioli. For the second course, diners can select from Swank Farms tomato risotto with heirloom squash and pecorino; or house-made lobster ravioli with black truffles, cauliflower and lobster sauce. Third course options will include lemongrass steamed halibut with Pacific oysters, trumpet mushrooms, potato and coconut-kaffir lime broth; or roasted rib-eye cap steak with celery root gratin, charred eggplant, baby collards and salsa verde.
