Miami Beach, November 22, 2016 – Miami Beach nightlife is ripe for a nightlife revival, and ORA is bringing glamour back, with its luxe décor, impeccable service and multi million-dollar design.
With an all-star team of nightlife veterans, helmed by hospitality tastemakers Ryan Van Milligen, Dana Dwyer, Yani Kontos, and Greg See. ORA will deliver on the promise of elevating the nightclub experience where thoughtful touches, tableside mixology, and old-world service and appeal.
It’s only appropriate that ORA is launching in time for Art Basel, with its artistic décor created and executed by world-renowned French designer Francois Frossard. For ORA, Frossard, whose most recent masterpiece was the redesign of iconic club Queen Paris, has produced a lavish and dramatic interior, featuring a cathedral ceiling, classic boiserie paneling throughout, marble bars, sleek and sexy banquettes and state-of- the-art lighting fixtures. Adding to the cultural conversation, guests will dance alongside works of art by Banksy and Murakami.
ORA also has bragging rights for its mixology program, which will be uniquely offered both tableside and at the bar. Veteran mixologist Rodger Gillespie was hired to reinvent the staid "bottle service" standard of routine mixers. Instead, assigned mixologists will work with clients to create specialty cocktails with a variety of ingredients directly at the table. Sipping a perfectly shaken martini in high style is now a reality. In the upstairs Anti-Social room, cocktailing will reign supreme with an innovative menu and personalized cocktails, including a “chronological flight” of martinis that features four mini martinis in their most popular formulations spanning from the late nineteenth century to today.
For its opening week, ORA’s programming will be the zeitgeist of nightlife, with the best DJs, parties and art fairs. On Thursday, December 1, ORA will be awash in champagne as Perrier- Jouët, the world's most iconic boutique champagne house hosts a private event. On Friday, December 2, Raspoutine returns to Basel to present resident DJ Fabrice Dayan and Lio Ibiza resident Jean-Claude Ades with Wild Belle featured in the Anti-Social room. And on Saturday, December 3, the official SCOPE Art Show Official Celebration presented by Fool’s Gold with DJ sets by Theophilus London plus Nick Hook with a live performance by Kissey. Later, Hwood Group’s Blind Dragon and Five Four present special performances and more…
