Recently appointed General Manager of Oceans 234, Drew Shane is a hospitality industry trailblazer, implementing hospitality concepts that transform restaurants, and lifestyle facilities into thriving, prominent destinations. After joining the Oceans 234 team in 2016 as Beverage Manager, Drew quickly proved his ability to lead and motivate staff. In his new position, he is responsible for orchestrating restaurant operations, overseeing all front of house managerial aspects and maximizing revenue. As a passionate mixologist, he will continue to oversee Oceans 234’s eclectic bar program.
Drew Shane has over 25 years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry. While attending Syracuse University, he worked his way up, starting off as a dishwasher for Uno Restaurant Corporation and, ten years later, finishing his Uno career as the general manager for one of the crown jewels of the company in Baltimore, Maryland. His passion, determination and eye for detail helped Drew implement and develop a regional training center for New York City Uno restaurants to participate in.
After his departure, Drew was then tapped by Bahama Breeze Restaurants, becoming a General Manager for the national chain. He traveled around the country to open multiple new restaurants and oversaw the growth of the company from 12 locations to 34 locations over a four year period. With this success under his belt, he became an investor and Director of Operations for Style Bar Day Spa in the Hamptons.
Eager to return to the restaurant world, Drew headed to Delray Beach in 2011 where he was hired as the Beverage Manager for Rapoport’s Restaurant Group. There he was responsible for Deck 84 and Apeiro restaurants developing the bar menu which exceeded 2.5 million in annual beverage sales.
Now, as General Manager for Oceans 234, he will oversee a myriad of operations and endeavor to create memorable culinary experiences for each guest. “With over two decades of expertise in the restaurant industry, Drew was ideal for the role,” says Oceans 234 owner Danielle Rosse. “He’s well recognized for his passion for excellence and impeccable attention to detail.”
The restaurant is open Monday through Thursday from 11:30AM to 10PM; Friday and Saturday from 11:30AM to 2AM and Sunday from 10AM to 10PM.
