Miami Culinary Tours is proud to announce that it has included the ever-popular Coyo Taco as a stop during its Wynwood Food & Art Tour. Coyo Taco, one of the only authentic Mexican street experience restaurants in Miami, opened earlier in 2015 and has already become a must-stop for those in the neighborhood. Through its use of fresh ingredients and locally sourced vegetables, Coyo maintains Mexican tradition in handcrafting corn tortillas and providing diners with an unpretentious and natural experience.
The stop at Coyo includes a Nopal taco, which is made up of grilled cactus, quinoa and queso fresco. This vegetarian addition to the Wynwood Food & Art Tour also embraces Mexican tradition with a beverage. Coyo Taco’s Don Julio Margarita is made from scratch and is a refreshing compliment to the rich flavors coming from the Taco.
Coyo’s executive chef, Scott Linquist has a high pedigree in Mexican cuisine, working at Dos Caminos as executive chef for more than a decade. He has also worked alongside some of the top names in authentic Mexican cuisine, including Susan Feniger, Mary Sue Miliken, and Rick Bayless. His extensive travels to Mexico help him learn and adapt Mexican cuisine for a restaurant in Wynwood.
