Executive Pastry Chef of The Dutch Miami, Josh Gripper is known for his dazzling confections and pies, garnering local and national attention since the restaurant opened in 2011. In celebration of National Pie Day on Thursday, December 1, 2016, Chef Gripper will feature an array of specialty fresh-baked treats.
That day, during lunch and dinner, guests can enjoy Gripper’s famed Salted Lime Pie – an amped up version of the classic key lime pie, with housemade toasted coconut ice cream, passionfruit sauce and fresh whipped cream; Sweet Potato Pie with brown butter ice cream; Banana Cream Pie with caramelized bananas, and caramel-chocolate sorbet; and warm Apple Pie with salted caramel and vanilla ice cream. All pies are priced at $12 per slice.
Of course, before indulging on these decadent sweets, diners can enjoy Executive Chef Adonay Tafur’s savory offerings such as Little Lobster Roll with yuzu, tobiko and pickles; Jerk Chicken with chickpea curry and coconut rice; and Berkshire Pork Chop Al Pastor with Anson Mills Grits.
