Miss Yip Chinese Café Debuts Its Highly Anticipated Second Location

Renowned Lincoln Road eatery introduces a new locale, chef and menu in Downtown Miami this winter

Owners of The Prive Group and Miss Yip Chinese Café in South Beach are thrilled to announce the official opening of the distinguished Chinese eatery’s second location this December. Renowned for serving up Hong Kong style cuisine, Miss Yip debuts its new 4,000 square foot space at 900 Biscayne Bay, a residential tower in Downtown Miami. Catering to VIPs, locals and visitors alike, Miss Yip introduces a new chef, revamped menu and updated look along with an expansive outdoor terrace, full liquor bar and inexpensive valet parking. Miss Yip will also offer the emerging neighborhood delivery spanning the majority of Biscayne Boulevard, from Brickell to Miami’s Design District.

“We wanted to create a lively, hip place that is centrally located,” stated owner, Javier Rabinovich of The Prive Group. “900 Biscayne Bay was the ideal location catering to people going to the American Airlines Arena for games and concerts, coming from a cruise or heading to a show at the Adrienne Arsht Center.”

The menu is traditional Hong Kong fare presented in a modern way and offers an alluring range of dim sum, dumplings and other Chinese snacks. To start, opt for Spring Rolls, Salt and Pepper Calamari, Crispy Veggie Chips, BBQ Ribs, Miss Yip Cucumbers, among others, or choose from an assortment of soups and Chinese lettuce wraps. A few signature dishes include Orange Peel Chicken, lightly battered and deep fried chunks of chicken stir fried with a spicy orange peel sauce and daily fresh squeezed orange juice, Mongolian Beef, stir fried with ginger, garlic, scallions and finished with sweet and tangy sauce, and Peking Duck, comprised of two courses, crispy duck skin shredded served with steamed crepes and hoisin sauce followed by stir-fried duck meat and vegetables with chilled lettuce cups and hoisin sauce. Executive Chef Deniz comes with over ten years of experience and will be leading the kitchen team at the new 900 location.

On Saturdays and Sundays, Miss Yip will be launching a weekend brunch offering an array of Dim Sum, tea and live music. New dim sum dishes include beef selections such as Pan Fried Beef Dumpling served with spicy mayonnaise along with an array of other homemade dim sum favorites including Steamed Vegetable Dumpling, Steamed Veggie and Tofu Dumpling, BBQ Pork Bao, Shanghai Soupy Dumpling, Pan Fried Chicken Dumpling, Mama Yip Platter, Papa Yip Platter, Shrimp Wonton, Vegetable Wonton and more. Teas include Jasime tea, Oolong, Orange Peel, Chai, Camomile, Toureg Mint.

Miss Yip’s new home evokes a sophisticated, Shanghai teahouse allure with Chinoserie décor and is fashioned by lavish burgandy banquettes, a VIP booth, glass jars of Chinese spices, candy, marbles and beer, and a massive, gorgeous Buddha upon entering. The new space was designed to not only delight the senses in its culinary expertise but to also host as premier nightlife venue in the burgeoning neighborhood populated by young professionals. The vast outside terrace is surrounded by bamboo, providing privacy, and allows guests to dine outside or simply lounge on the comfortable red couches, sip on Miss Yip signature cocktails and enjoy the flat screen TV’s and music. Rotating drinks specials and happy hour specials will be offered along with complimentary Wi-Fi.

The unique atmosphere at Miss Yip provides a casual yet chic ambiance with comfort dining and friendly service that has guests returning regularly on a weekly basis to its original Lincoln Road location. Situated across the street from the American Airlines Arena and Museum Park, the new home of the Miami Art Museum and Miami Science Museum at 900 Biscayne Bay Boulevard in Downtown Miami, Miss Yip is open daily for lunch and dinner. Restaurant hours are Sunday – Wednesday from 11am to 11pm, Thursdays from 11am to midnight and Friday and Saturday from 11am to 1am. Takeout and delivery are available.
