MICHELLE BERNSTEIN JOINS PANEL OF JUDGES SLATED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SIXTH ANNUAL JOHN OFFERDAHL’S BROWARD HEALTH® GRIDIRON GRILL-OFF FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL
Michelle Bernstein, the James Beard Award winning chef (Best Chef South 2008) and Miami native, will join the panel of esteemed food aficionados slated to judge the sixth annual “John Offerdahl’s Broward Health® Gridiron Grill-Off Food & Wine Festival.” Bernstein, along with her husband, owns/operates MBC Michelle Bernstein Catering Company, as well as the wildly popular café concept, Crumb on Parchment and the completely renovated landmark restaurant, which recently reopened as CENA by Michy. She is also the author of “Cuisine a Latina” (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt 2008) and regularly appears on an array of national and local TV shows, from Top Chef to Good Morning America, as well as the PBS weekly series, Check, Please! South Florida and the new weekly SoFlo Taste on Local 10.
Other local celebrity panelists include Sef Gonzalez (The Burger Beast), Chef Allen Susser, Chef Paula DaSilva and Jack Kane, the culinary academic department director at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.
WHY: “John Offerdahl’s Broward Health® Gridiron Grill-Off Food & Wine Festival,” with featured celebrity guest, Adam Richman (author, actor and television personality), pairs Miami Dolphins legends with South Florida’s top chefs to prepare signature dishes on the grill as part of an exciting culinary competition for charity. As many as 3,000 event-goers will meet the players and chefs, sample delicious entrees, indulge in a great selection of wines, vote for their favorite recipe and look on as judges select the winning team. 100% of the event’s net proceeds benefit Offerdahl’s Hand-Off Foundation, which directs funds to agencies that “feed the needs of kids in crisis.”
