Living Room — the modern, nocturnal playground located at the W South Beach Hotel & Residences — is known for its innovative mixology program and artisanal libations. Open since 2009 and under the direction of KNR Hospitality Group, it has earned countless accolades for its sophisticated cocktails and sultry ambiance, including Zagat’s “7 Coolest Hotel Lobby Bars in Miami (2015)” and USA Today’s “10 Best Miami Hotel Bars.” Now, on the heels of one of its hottest winter seasons, the Living Room is unveiling a new cocktail program with an official launch on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. In keeping with Living Room’s reputation as a trendsetting influence on the cocktail circuit, the cutting-edge selection of drinks being unveiled were created by a global group of mixologists. According to KNR’s Nicola Siervo, “We have curated an international list of talented bartenders who have crafted a fresh cocktail menu reflecting their own personal tastes and worldwide inspirations.”
At Living Room, cocktails feature exotic herbs; house-made spices and essential oils; edible flowers, top-shelf spirits and locally sourced organic produce. In addition to the Living Room favorites, new offerings include globally-inspired cocktails, such as the Russian Muay Thai, created by mixologist Kristen Anderson, featuring vodka, Thai syrup, fresh lime juice and chili flakes. Gin drinkers will love the refreshing Tamarind Fizz by Miguel Soto, with gin, tamarind shrub, fresh lemon and lime juice, orange blossom water and egg white. Hailing from Cuba, JC Caballero, has invented Rum With Me with aged dark rum, fresh lime juice, coconut crème, pineapple, basil, and granulated brown sugar. Tomer Doar’s Belladonna satisfies your desire for something more intense with mezcal, aperol, Maraschino liqueur, fresh lemon juice and mint. Whiskey drinkers who love bacon will savor the Tavarishch, by Alliaksei Emilyanovich, containing rye whiskey, Amaro, maple syrup, fresh lemon, fresh yuzu, and bacon. Bar Manager D’Israeli Fernandez presents the imaginative Through The Looking Glass, which contains cognac, Maca liqueur, passion fruit, fresh lime and simple syrup.
Living Room’s cocktail kick-off will offer complimentary beverages and sounds by DJ Brett Sylvia on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, from 8PM to 10PM – RSVP is mandatory (space is limited). They will also present a live music series on Friday evenings beginning February 17, 2017.
