MIAMI – April 17, 2017— Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with an abundance of tequila, Mexican-themed festivities and the largest piñata drop in Florida. Cinco De Wynwood presented by Avion Tequila is set to convert Miami’s art mecca into the most over-the-top, free-and-open to the public fiesta. Spanning an area of 100,000 square feet, attendees will feel as if they’re authentically celebrating the holiday in a city in Mexico.
Join the party, break out the lime and salt, and make your way to Wynwood right as the 5PM happy hourfestivities begin, at 8PM experience the largest Piñata in Florida, drop, and much more! Party-goers will enjoy live Mariachi performances as they participate in a variety of activities, including a sugar shot contest where two perfectly-paired strangers will have to creatively pass a savory Avion Tequila shot to each other. And nothing says Cinco de Mayo like sombreros, authentic tacos, and of course, margaritas. Step into the Avion Margarita Bar where you can customize the drink to your liking -- sour, sweet, spicy, or salty-- there’s a margarita for any palate. For our confident and competitive guests, there are challenges to test physical endurance such as longest time clocked on the mechanical bull, recorded by the Luchador. Participants keep track of their time by listing their Instagram handle on the tallied chalkboard. The showpiece of the night will include the unveiling of Florida’s largest piñata, coming in at a whopping 25 feet in height and 30 feet in length suspended by a crane 40 feet in the air. Crowds will gather below to discover the mystery goodies inside the gigantic piñata as it explodes on-site.
