NEW YORK CITY’S BELOVED JAZZ AGE LAWN PARTY ANNOUNCES ITS EXPANSION TO SOUTH BEACH

The Jazz Age Lawn Party, which recently concluded its 11th season, has announced its first expansion to a new city and a historic first step on new sand at South Beach, Miami on January 13-15, 2017. The Jazz Age Lawn Party – SOUTH BEACH, MIAMI – will be presented in partnership with the Miami Design Preservation League as they celebrate their 40th Annual Art Deco Weekend. Nestled among golden dunes and sprawled beneath groves of swaying palms, Miami locals and thousands of visitors to the Art Deco weekend will behold a glimmering mirage of the Jazz Age at this most extraordinary weekend of discovery and elegant fun-in-the-sun. Guests will be invited to travel back in time to celebrate the music and zeitgeist of the 1920s and ‘30s with a full line-up of day and evening programming to include music, entertainment, dancing, food, drink and more!

By day, guests will be invited to listen and dance to the world’s finest 1920s dance orchestra - Michael Arenella & His Dreamland Orchestra - playing before an enormous sun dappled dance floor set atop the sand. Join in on 1920s dance lessons and rub elbows with other fashionable Flappers and sporting gents, bedecked in their freshest holiday linens and straw hats. Witness the bedazzling Dreamland Follies, a ten-lady dance spectacle invoking the great Ziegfeld, or the world-renowned Canarsie Wobblers with their scandalous Charleston numbers. Off the dance floor, partake in impromptu vintage beach games, activities and fun-loving contests as you mix and mingle. Enjoy exquisite cocktails, gourmet picnics on beach blankets and even private Cabanas as the salt-kissed breezes play.

By night, guests will be invited to discover South Beach’s most chic cocktail spots at exclusive parties hosted by Michael Arenella & His Dreamland Orchestra.
