Get Tequila-ized With Mercadito Midtown's 2012 Tequila Dinner Series

Mercadito Midtown is pleased to reintroduce one of Miami's hottest events - its monthly tequila dinner series - on Wednesday, February 22. Beginning at 8:30 p.m., the restaurant will welcome guests to experience Blue Nectar Tequila, which will serve as the inspiration for the evening's festivities.

New to Mercadito Midtown's tequila dinners this year, Chef/Partner Patricio Sandoval will present a culinary theme each month celebrating a different facet of Mexican cuisine. In February, he kicks things off with Mexican street foods, and will prepare four sharing courses utilizing Blue Nectar Tequila. Each course will be paired a specially made cocktail utilizing the spirit created by the restaurant's expert mixology team.

The brand ambassador of Blue Nectar Tequila will be on hand to offer tastings and share details of this special, handcrafted spirit. The cost to attend is $45 per person exclusive of tax and gratuity, and the evening's menu includes:

Botana Con Chile

Shrimp, tequila marinated jicama, cucumber, carrot, mango chile piquin, key lime

Jalisco Negroni

Blue néctar tequila blanco, campari, sweet vermouth, damiana

Tacos de Canasta

potato, chorizo, tequila anejo-roasted tomato salsa huitlacoche-mushroom, tequila reposado-tomatillo salsa

Uvarita

Blue nectar tequila blanco, green grape, mexicano regano, agave

Taquiza de Barbacoa

Lamb tequila chilorio, potato, cactus, tomatillo salsa, pickled red onion

El Chilango

Blue Nectar tequila reposado, grand marnier 150, fresh lime, chichicapa mezcal,

oloroso sherry

Palitos de Elote

corn cake sticks, cinnamon, sugar, tequila-goat's milk caramel

Jamaica Me Loco

Blue Nectar tequila blanco, grand marnier, hibiscus, orange, agave
