Tandem: A 14-course Gastronomical Experience In The Raw

Triciclo announces Tandem, an exclusive three-part dinner series in anticipation of Firehouse Mrkt opening

Act One: April 7-8

Miami, Fla. (March 8, 2017) - Madrid’s renowned gastronomical destination, Triciclo, is excited to announce Tandem, a three-part dinner series bringing cultures around the world together through culinary journeys, to introduce the Firehouse Mrkt project. Firehouse Mrkt, coming to Miami this September, will be a charming 5,000 square-foot restaurant-market reminiscent of a European walk-through neighborhood market similar to San Miguel Market. It will be located at 1401 N Miami Ave in the historic Fire Station No. 2 just south of Wynwood, and will offer new, interactive and fun cuisine concepts allowing guests to escape from the ordinary world and be transported through the senses in the form of five stations: Fish & Meat (main restaurants), fruits and vegetables, bakery cafes, Salumeria, and a “despensa” or tapas bar.

The dinner series, launching in April, will serve as an exclusive preview of the market as the dinners will take place in the raw market space, allowing guests to see the venue evolve and truly feel like part of the project as the dinner series progresses. Each dinner will feature a creative and eclectic culinary collaboration alongside Triciclo’s chefs, Javier Mayor and Javier Goya. The collaborating chefs who will be participating in the dinner series are all chefs who were chosen because they will have their own outposts at Firehouse Mrkt once open.

The first installment, taking place on April 7 and 8, will bring Spanish and Mexican cultures together through culinary collaboration between Triciclo’s Javier Mayor and Javier Goya, and beloved Mexican chef Omar Montero, whose next big project will be bringing his Mexican roots and debuting La Santa Taqueria at Firehouse Mrkt. The first dinner is priced at $100 per person, inclusive of a 14-course meal prepared by the three collaborating chefs. The dinner will also have appropriate wine pairings as well as Estrella Damm beer, a brand known for its ties to the culinary world, and for its passion for bringing the community together through gastronomy in a social atmosphere. A sneak peek at some of the dishes include: Watermelon Thai gazpacho with lime and mussels; Grilled prawn, passion fruit and trouts spawns; Salpicon de res; Shellfish Rossejat; and Fresh fruits with mojito.

Each of the three dinners is independently priced at $100 per person. Though the collaborations for the June and August dinners have not been released, guests may expect completely different, more elevated experiences with new collaborating chefs every time.
