Freddo Opens in South Beach

FREDDO OPENS ITS FLAGSHIP US STORE ON SOUTH BEACH

Argentina’s Freddo now serving helado at 610 Lincoln Road

Freddo, the Argentinean leader in premium helado since 1969, has been working overtime to bring their signature treats to Miamians, transplanted South Americans and tourists alike. Already a staple in six South American countries and the United Kingdom, Freddo opened its doors to the public on bustling Lincoln road on Friday, November 26, with 30 of their most popular flavors. The flavors, categorized under Dulce de Leche,Creams, Chocolate, Sorbets and Light run the gamut from the most decadent of desserts to guilt-free low calorie selections.  (Freddo will celebrate its US flagship location’s grand opening with a VIP invitation only reception on Thursday, December 11 with local and Argentinian dignitaries.)

For a true taste of Argentina’s best, guests can head straight for the Dulce de Leche options, featuring Dulce de Leche Temptation – an irresistible combination of dulce de leche with dulce de leche swirls; or Grand Dulce de Leche – made with whole almonds, pecans, golden raisins and caramel. Freddo’s flagship store will also include rich Cream flavors, classics with a twist such as Banana Split – banana helado with dulce de leche swirls and chocolate flakes; Soft Nougat – almond soft nougat semifreddo; to Zabaione – Italian light custard. Chocaholics can select from six different varieties, including Dark Chocolate – 70% cocoa chocolate helado; White Chocolate – white chocolate helado; and Chocolate Freddo – chocolate semifreddo with roasted almonds and hazelnuts. Sorbets feature fantastic options to cool down on hot Miami days, like Green Apple, Passion Fruit and Lemon; while Light flavors of Chocolate, Dulce de Leche Temptation and Orange and Peach are all well under 200 calories per serving – all served in a Freddo cup or cucurucho (waffle cone).

Regardless of which flavors guests select, all of Freddo’s helados are made with the highest quality ingredients – from fresh hormone-free milk, pure cane sugar, fruits and the finest natural and raw ingredients. Freddo’s helados are 0 grams trans fat per serving (3.5 oz.), and devoid of artificial flavorings, colorants, preservatives or added vegetable fats. And to ensure quality control, all Freddo helado sold in the United States is made in Argentina and shipped under strict protocols.

As an added treat, Lincoln Road’s newest sweets space features out-of-this-world desserts including ice cream Paninis and an irresistible Lava Cake served with your choice of helado. The artisanal treats are also incorporated in Freddinos – Freddo’s combination of creamy helado blended with flavored syrups; TriFreddos – a unique blend of three layers of artisanal helado with up to three toppings or syrups; Smoothies – a refreshing combination of fruit sorbet with fruit syrup and artisanal helado; and Sundaes – two helado flavors combined with up to three delicious toppings or syrups. Those who want to share their Freddo with friends and family can also purchase to-go packs (9 oz., 18 oz. and 35 oz.) to enjoy later.

Freddo is located at 610 Lincoln Road. Prices for cups and cones range from $4.75 to $7.50; Freddinos are $8; TriFreddos are $8.50; Smoothies are $7.50; and Sundaes are $7. Freddo:

Since 1969, Freddo has served as the leader in “Helado” (premium artisanal gelato from Argentina) with more than 150 stores in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, Bolivia and the United Kingdom. Freddo’s products are created from fresh high-quality raw materials delivered daily to its main factory in Buenos Aires. Each day, one of Freddo’s original employees, aptly named the ‘maestro heladero’, develops and tests each flavor and product to ensure the highest quality and consistency with each batch. From there, the products are packaged and shipped from Buenos Aires to Miami’s shores.
