On Tuesday, July 18th, Fooq’s and Friends celebrates Bastille Day with a feast inspired by classic French cuisine. Guest chef of the evening, David Blonsky, joins Fooqs’ own Executive Chef Saul Ramos, for a one-night-only dinner collaboration at the Downtown Miami eatery. Having previously worked together at famed Chicago eateries Bull & Bear and Siena Tavern, Blonsky and Ramos reunite to create a tasting menu that honors the flavors of France.
Menu highlights include Steak Tartare, classically prepared with quail egg and brioche, Escargot with garlic-parsley butter and lemon gougeres, and Chicken Basquaise, with piquiilo peppers, apple and chorizo. For dessert, the duo will dish out a Mille-Feuille with citrus pastry cream and chocolate ice cream, as well as a Yogurt Mousse with poached strawberries and walnut streusel.
This special Bastille Day tasting menu will be priced at $60 per person (plus tax and gratuity), with an optional $35 wine pairing. Two seatings will be offered at 7pm and 9pm. Fooq’s is located at 1035 N. Miami Avenue, Miami, FL 33136. For reservations or inquiries, please call (786) 536-2749 or email reservations@fooqsmiami.com.
