Chef/Owner Giorgio Rapicavoli and crews at both Eating House and Taperia Raca will be serving jazzed-up versions of their already popular brunches, with super-sweet specials and freebies just for mom.
Designed after their own hearts, the Eating House team serves up brunch munchies such as Carbonara eggs Benedict; Rapicavoli’s ever-craved chicken ‘n’ foie-ffles with maple bacon and spicy ranch; refreshing heirloom Homestead tomatoes with lime, ginger, nuoc cham, peanuts, frozen coconut milk, herbs, petals and shoots; hearty Mexican chilaquiles; perfectly sweet Cuban bread French toast; and a baker’s dream come true Cap’n Crunch pancakes, among others. Just as with dinner, the Wakin-N-Bacon menu changes frequently based on what herbs are fresh in their garden, what other ingredients they get in, and where their inspiration leads them.
Sunday Brunch at Tapereia Raca ($5-19) builds upon the tapas restaurant’s existing menu but has a little more fun with whimsical items including Tortilla Chanchito with organic eggs, chorizo, Serrano ham, bacon and Manchego; Croquetas de Jamon- smoked and roasted ham, béchamel, and quince jam; Patatas Contentas – fried baked potatoes, black truffle and bacon; Huevos Rotos – fried eggs, aioli, charred tomato, potato and Serrano ham; Torrejas Café con Leche- Cuban bread French toast, Panther Coffee, cream and sugar; and Panqueques de Maiz y Durazno- cornmeal peach pancakes with peach syrup.
Because of the anticipated crowds, both restaurants are extending their cancellation policies – cancellations must be made 72 hours in advance to not receive penalty.
