Eat ceviche like a local at My Ceviche

My ceviche bowl

Next to a hostel nearing the Southern-most point of Miami Beach, you will find My Ceviche. It is not uncommon to encounter lines of locals waiting for unique and mouth-watering interpretations of the Peruvian staple at this small take-out window. At My Ceviche, patrons are given the choice of choosing a protein of choice (fish, octopus, shrimp) along with a ceviche style and are then allowed to decide in which form they have this ceviche served. Some people may choose to have the ceviche served as is, but other choices include getting served as a rice bowl, burrito, salad, or as a taco. Ceviche styles are inspired by different ethnicities and cuisines, ranging from traditional Peruvian to asian. The ingredients and marinades for the ceviche depend on your style. I have gotten the pleasure of tasting most of the styles and feel confident in saying that no matter which one you choose, you are not making a poor choice.

My Ceviche prides itself in the quality of the food that it offers. All the food and protein is as as fresh and local as possible, giving customers the opportunity to taste the food that Miami and its beaches have to offer. The prices are extremely affordable, and portions are generous enough to leave you satisfied until your next meal. For being a window, the service is as helpful as possible. The cashiers are helpful and willing to answer all sorts of questions. It goes to show that even if the food is being served in a small place, service does not have to suffer. The best part about My Ceviche is that it gives people an opportunity to have the epitome of a South Beach experience. Eating local seafood while walking and enjoying the South Beach vibe may be the best way to get an idea about what South Beach is truly like. There is no pretentiousness or preference due to what car you drive or to which watch you wear. You get served delicious seafood in a sustainable plate and eat it wherever you please. Most people opt to just stand outside or grab a seat on one of the benches located outside, but my recommendation is to take a quick stroll to the beach and enjoy seafood as it was meant to be eaten.
