Since opening in June 2011, Biscayne corridor’s acclaimed down-home brasserie-style dining destination, City Hall – The Restaurant, by seasoned restaurant veteran Steve Haas, has quickly positioned itself as a hotspot for savvy locals and visitors. Now, just in time for season, the restaurant has announced that it will continue offering Sunday Brunch service with entertainment by South Florida’s favorite gospel singer, Maryel Epps.
Available every Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday Brunch at City Hall features affordably priced a la carte menu items by talented executive chef Tom Azar, who has created an eclectic menu featuring delicious breakfast specialties, an expanded selection of sandwiches and several main plates from City Hall’s lunch menu. Here, guests will delight in the spiritual rhythms provided by Miami’s Gospel diva, Maryel Epps, who performs from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Not-to-be-missed Sunday Brunch menu items include eggs benedict ($12) – poached eggs served on a toasted bagel, choice of thick cut Applewood bacon, spinach or Scottish smoked salmon with hollandaise sauce; braised beef short ribs ($15) served over creamy polenta, fried eggs and wild mushroom sauce; mushrooms and eggs encroute ($12) – three eggs served in a puff pastry with mushrooms, spinach, fontina cheese, caramelized Applewood bacon with white truffle oil; and a tilapia burger ($15) on a freshly baked hoagie roll, topped with lettuce, tomato, onion and drizzled with Creole tartar sauce.
