I tell people over and over about Peruvian cuisine. You cannot come to Miami and not visit one of the spectacular Peruvian restaurants we have here, not because the restaurants per se are spectacular but because Peruvian cuisine is one of the most amazing cuisines Latin America have ever created, so what? You think different? shut up, this is my blog after all - and not only I love Peruvian food but I am inlove with Peruvian indigenous people, they are the most beautiful people in the world, if you do not believe me, email me, I will send you some pictures of llamas with indigenous children and their mother, they are the cutest, gracious people, my heart just smiles when I think about them.
Back to the food. I went to Chalan on the Beach because a friend of mine mentioned "you need to take people that take your culinary tours to Chalan, it is only a few blocks from here" so one time I ended up going to try their ceviche..., tears started to come down my eyes, I was in ceviche nirvana, oh god why Peruvian food is so good?
Fish ceviche pieces of fish marinated in lemon and red chili. Not only this ceviche is fresh which ny the way I talked to their manager and she explained to me that they prepare the ceviche to order, meaning they never station their ceviche like at other restaurants. And they only prepare it every two hours, whatever it is not consume in those two hours, they just don't serve it.
